Florida Again

I'm back in Florida again, and working on getting back into my Florida routine.  It was great to get to go back to Colorado, we had a wonderful couple of weeks.  Steve and I flew back to Florida last week and have had a fast and furious week of catching up here; we also enjoyed a few days of beach and picnics with the girls and grandsons, as well as a couple of dinners out at the Fish Market and Restaurant.

The Fish Market and Restaurant has been on our Florida bucket list ever since our girls and their hubbys had told us about it.  So we finally went… and we got hooked…. so we went again.  I think I  got my fill of seafood for a day or two, as we ate there twice, and bought fresh fish to cook up at home, which we did twice as well, and then there were the left overs.  Mmmm it was good. I didn't get any pictures of the food, but I did take some pictures of the boats, which to me is part of the fun of eating there.

Such a great view; a wonderful way to eat.

I hope you are all doing well. Are you ready for summer? I'm working on it.  Its hard to believe June is so quickly upon us. Steve and my grandson Zane are having birthdays this month, which will be our highlight.  I have a few summer dessert recipes coming up.  I'm making some Ice Cream Pies for the grandkids, so stay tuned for those recipes.   Have a great week end.

  1. That photo of the airplane wing and cloud is so striking! Really nicely captured! :)

Your Florida days sound wonderful; and yes, I agree that half the fun of eating at a place like that seafood restaurant is the view. My family would go to the Outer Banks for vacation every year when I was little, and we always stopped at a restaurant called Fisherman's Wharf for lunch on our way down. It sat right on the water, and it was THRILLING to see the water, the seagulls, the occasional boat going past, etc. Sweet memories! (And you're in the middle of MAKING them with your family!) :)

  2. I love your pictures! The editing techniques are fabulous. I've lived in FL before and love to see the boats and seagulls. Tarpon Springs has a few restaurants on the water and is such a lovely place to eat, too.

  3. Looks like a fun place to visit! Summer is going crazy around here. Lots to do and would rather just not. :) I am so bummed that I didn't get to see you while you were here. I guess that quick little glance and hand wave at the car wash will have to do. I sure do miss you and Steve! I can't wait to see your summer desserts. I am all about light and sweet this summer. Well, maybe some veggies too!

    Hugs, Hugs, Hugs! Amy

  4. I've been catching up on your blog. I think our spring has been like Colorado's - slow! Finally today we have some warm sunshine, which is doing everyone some good. Such a busy time for you just now going back and forth between the two states. Looking forward to seeing ice cream pie recipes. I've never had ice cream pie before - or even heard of it!
