Apple Picking

Every year, our kind neighbors tell us to come pick apples from their trees.
We've been picking apples off and on at their ranch for probably 20 years...  happy times, and happy memories for us.

"Hey let's go again, you forgot to take us with you the first time."

  3. How blessed you are to be able to go pick so many apples! I would love to be able to do that and fill up the freezer with apple pies for the winter and jars of apple sauce, mmmm!

We don't have any orchards round here but then we do have the lovely strawberry & raspberry farms in the summer so I suppose that's just as good.

You must show us what you do with all those apples.

  5. Elizabeth, don't those two little mutts just crack you up? I remember when you guys were all little doing the apples; it was the big dogs that wanted to go with us back then. its hard to believe how quickly all that time has gone by.

Tiffany, I love that you guys are going to pick apples this weekend. It is undoubtedly that time of year. I would love to see some of your recipes, and yours Kirsteen and Danielle; in fact, I think I am going to need that apple cake with maple butter recipe Danielle, I'll share some of my apples with you if you want to come and get them, and bring your recipe. I do plan to post a few recipes, but love new ideas.

Oh the dogs.....my darlings! They are adorable.
What a lovely post.... I almost felt I was there. Oh - that was me dreaming. However, I was still 'taken' there, so thank you for that!
